The Musical Summer

I was in the middle school band room after a long day of school, and I was ready to go home. But I knew that today was the day that I was going to send in my audition for the masterworks orchestra. I was so nervous when I was warming up, but to see my mom supporting me all the way through made me a little bit less nervous. When I began to record my solo for my tape I felt very calm, and like everything was going to be alright.

Getting dropped off was a very scary experience. Blue lake was a 2 week camp that I had never been to before, and I did not know any of the people going. When I arrived at my cabin I was so sad to leave my family. My mom, dad, and two brothers told me that they were going to write me letters which made me feel better about leaving.

After my parents left I began talking to some new people. I am usually really scared to talk to new people and make new friends but since this was a two week camp I decided that it was probably better to begin making friends. I met Eliana and Emma, who became some of my really good friends at camp.
