- When Troy got drunk, he would sing a Song. The song spoke about a dog that dug his own grave,“(drinks from bottle.) Old Blue died and dug his grave, let him down with agolden chain every night when I hear old blue bark”(Wilson 78). This was a song he would sing \ regularly when he was drunk. Being that it was an entire song, it shows he drank often.

- Tory showed a lack of attentiveness was with when Cory wanted to get past Troy while drunk. “(Cory starts to maneuver his way past Troy. Troy grabs his leg and shoves him back). Troy. you Just gonna walk over top of me?
- Cory. I live here too. Troy. (advancing toward him) you just gonna walk over top of me in my own house? (Wilson 79).

- Rose. Troy, you better leave me alone”.(Wilson 33). After Troy came into the house drunk, he was trying to kiss Rose and was trying to get close to her, but she didn’t want him to.
- The quote that displays his drink was when Rose was in the house and Troy had come in drunk, “(chasing after her) I’m studying you fixing you to do my homework.
