- Spain secretly gave the Louisiana Territory to France and they shut down the New Orleans Port so Thomas Jefferson bought the Louisiana Territory for $15,000,000. The French got $15,000,000 to make up for their debt. Also America got the Louisiana Territory.
- Mexican War
- AHHHHH!
- Around 1835, America removed Cherokee, Seminole, and Chickasaw nations from Georgia and Florida because the White Americans were simply greedy. This forced the "Indians" to the "Trail of Tears" which killed about 4,000-8,000 of 15,000. America got land in Florida and Georgia and the Indigenous tribes lost many lives.
- Oregon Territory
- WOW LOOK AT ALL THIS!
- Texans didn't like the laws they were under and how they were forced under certain religion. They revolted because they were oppressed and although they lost the Battle of the Alamo which was the most popular they won the revolution overall. The Texans received freedom and the Mexicans lost Texas which was a giant piece of land.
- The Battle of Little Bighorn

- In 1845, USA fought over Texas against Mexico. The cause was the annexation it hurt Mexico so much they had to fight them to try to get Texas back. In the end it did not work. The US won the war in 1848. The USA obtained Texas and Mexico lost the war.

- In 1848 the Oregon Territory was obtained by the US signing the Oregon Treaty with Britain to settle the boundary dispute. This is the farthest west we have gone at this point. Not everything in the video game Oregon Trail is accurate, but the diseases are. 30,000 people fell victim to diseases. Again this is the farthest we've been west.
- In 1876, Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull led an army to battle against the US army led by Lt. Col. George Armstrong Custer. Custer's army was attacked by about 3,000 of Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull's men. This battle was the The Battle of Little Bighorn on the Little Bighorn river in Montana. This battle lasted about an hour and with that Custer and his army was dead.
