- John F. Kennedy was born to a wealthy, well known family in Massachusetts. His mother Rose was a very religious philanthropist, and his father Joe was in politics. John had 8 siblings, who are also known in politics and other areas of the public eye.

- John married Jacqueline Bouvier on September 12, 1953 in Newport, Rhode Island. They had a daughter named Caroline, and a son named John Jr. His children were often photographed playing and dancing in the Oval Office.

- The Kennedy Curse
- The Kennedy curse refers to a number of tragic deaths and other incidents that have happened to members of the Kennedy family. Several involved plane crashes, including JFK's son, John Jr. in July of 1999, whose plane crashed on his way to Martha's Vineyard for a family wedding.
