- HYBRIS

- TRAGEDY
- Lady Macbeth Fear our murderous deeds!
- "FAIR IS FOUL AND FOUL IS FAIR". The three witches make a prophecy that triggers Macbeth's ambition.
- GUILT
- Out, Damned spot! Out I say!
- Macbeth and Lady Macbeth plot to kill the current King and usurp the throne
- NEMESIS
- Out, Out brief candle! Life's but a walking shadow!
- Soon they come to Realise it takes more than one death to maintain their power. Guild and paranoia catch up on them.
- CATHARSIS
- Lady Macbeth cries when she believes she can't wipe her victim's blood off her hands.
- The people rebel against Macbeth and bring a new King to throne. They rejoice that the tyrant and his sinister wife are dead.
- The audience is left with a sense of sympathy for Macbeth who was carried away by his ambition and drive to rule over others, in fear they could also do terrible things out of ambition and greed.
