- In Andrews story he described how his stepfather, his mother, his stepfathers family, and himself arrived at their home. When they stepped out of the car they saw Abel with a gun pointed at his mother. Andrew tried to step in front of his father and stop him but it did not work. The rest of the family fled while Andrew did not move and watched his mother get shot in the buttcheek and fall to the floor. His mother and him tried to get away but when they got in the car Abel shot through the back windshield and into the back of his mothers head. Andrew took the wheel and drove them to the hospital. "Andrew heard one last gunshot, and the windshield went red". (Noah 270) This shows that the cop should have gotten involved but they did not.

- Mom, you almost died, he almost killed you, you almost DIED!!
- its, ok I'm fine don't worry about me, I'm ok now, now we can go back to our normal lives.
- The nurse came to Trevor to tell him that his mother woke up, she said that the mother was very lucky because the bullet just went under her skull and right under her brain and missed all of the important arteries and came out of her nose. They only had to put stitches in the back of her head her nose and her butt. When Trevor went to see his mom he was still in shock because she was just shot by someone he did not trust form the start. "'there was nothing we could do, because there was nothing we needed to do,' said the doctor"(Noah 274). After all of this she still had a sense of humor and said "'Of course there is (a bright side), Now you officially the best-looking person in the family.'"

- They most went back to their normal lives, Trevor went back to being a comedian and growing his career, his mom went back to being a write and working in an office and taking care of the kid with her new husband, as for Abel he said he was going to off himself because he felt so bad but his cousin talked him out of it and he turned himself in and spent a few weeks in jail.
