Nicolaus Copernicus: Polish Scientist

Nicolaus Copernicus heliocentric model | Nicolaus Copernicus was a Polish scientist and astronomer that proposed the heliocentric (Sun-centered) model of the universe. Up until Copernicus, the academic community was in agreement that the Earth was at the center of the universe, this was known as the geocentric model.
