- Her husband surprises her with an invitation to a fancy party celebration. Monsieur also gives her 400 francs to buy a fancy dress to be formal in the upcoming event.
- FALLING ACTION
- This is identical to the necklace i lost
- She doesn't have a necklace to match her new outfit, then Mathilde comes to Madame Forestier to ask and use some of her accessories. She saw a beautiful diamond necklace and her heart started to beat fast and she fell in love with the superb necklace.
