- Muhammad went into a cave to think and meditate, he knew something was missing in his religious life and he wanted to figure out what it was.
- One day when Muhammad was meditating the Angel Gabriel visited him and commanded him to, "Cry out in the name of the Lord." He was afraid.
- Muhammad only told his wife about the vision. His wife encouraged him to be strong and bold, he listens.

- He tells his friends everything the Angel Gabriel told him and they wright it down.
- He took to Medina his beliefs and spread them there.
- From this the Koran started and grew.
