Elevii trebuie să recunoască faptul că cuvintele noastre au consecințe. Când victimele sunt intimidate, acestea se confruntă cu frica, anxietatea și scăderea stimei de sine. Acest lucru poate duce la schimbarea victimelor comportamentelor și intereselor pentru a se asigura că se află într-o situație sigură. De multe ori, acest lucru se termină cu izolarea și pierderea intereselor anterioare, cum ar fi sportul, cluburile, socializarea. Acest lucru poate duce, de asemenea, la rezultate mai extreme. Atunci când victimele simt că nu sunt acceptate, pot dezvolta obiceiuri periculoase care să ajute să facă față acestui stres. Aceasta se poate manifesta ca o dependență, o tulburare alimentară sau chiar un rău de sine.
În această activitate, elevii vor crea o cronologie a unei victime a intimidării. Activități precum cele arătate pot ajuta elevii să vizualizeze impactul cuvintelor lor ajutându-i să gândească înainte de a vorbi. Scopul acestei activități este prevenirea bullyingului. După ce studenții își termină activitatea, discutați despre modul în care efectul pe termen lung poate persista până la vârsta adultă.
