Students will get the chance to share about themselves in this All About Me storyboard providing an opportunity to build classroom community while practicing their writing and storyboarding skills! Using the template provided, students will create illustrations and descriptions to answer the prompts about themselves: their name, favorite subject in school, family, favorite animal, favorite color and favorite book.
This activity is designed to be done in pairs or small groups which is possible with Storyboard That's Real Time Collaboration feature! By collaborating on the same storyboard, students can easily compare and contrast their different likes and interests sparking meaningful conversations and building connections.

Due Date:
Objective: Create a storyboard that tells us all about you! Include images and descriptions that answer the prompts.
Student Instructions:
Encourage students to display their finished storyboards around the room and invite classmates to walk through and view each other's work. This creates a sense of pride and helps build a supportive classroom community.
Model how to give positive and constructive comments before the walk begins. Establish ground rules to help students feel safe and valued when sharing personal stories.
Pair students to lead short conversations at each storyboard station. Prompt them to ask questions like, “What inspired your drawing?” or “How did you choose your favorite book?”
Offer simple sentence frames such as “I noticed…” or “I liked how you…” to help all students participate, especially those who may be shy or new to the group.
Gather students after the gallery walk to share something new they learned about a classmate. Highlight both shared interests and unique qualities to foster inclusion and empathy.
