Storyboard Text

  • Of course, sweetie.
  • He, dad! Can I read my notes to you and you tell me if they make sense?
  • ….I have no idea what this child is talking about.
  • Point- "A point in geometry is a location. It has no size i.e. no width, no length and no depth. A point is shown by a dot." Line -"A line is defined as a line of points that extends infinitely in two directions. It has one dimension, length." Line segment - " a line segment is a part of a line that is bounded by two distinct end points, and contains every point on the line between its endpoints." Ray - "A ray is part of a line, has one fixed endpoint, and extends infinitely along the line from the endpoint."
  • I wonder what we’re having for dinner. I want steak oh man, I hope we’re eating steak.
  • Angle-" an angle is the figure formed by two rays, called the sides of the angle, sharing a common endpoint, called the vertex of the angle." Vertex- "A point where two or more line segments meet." Congruent- "The same shape and size. Two shapes are congruent when you can Turn, Flip and/or Slide one so it fits exactly on the other." Parallel- "(of lines, planes, surfaces, or objects) side by side and having the same distance continuously between them."
  • Perpendicular- "at an angle of 90° to a given line, plane, or surface." Bisector- "A bisector is something that cuts an object into two equal parts. It is applied to angles and line segments." Distance formula-"The distance formula is used to determine the distance, d, between two points." Midpoint formula- "Use the midpoint formula to find the midpoint between points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2)"
  • What on Earth????
  • Uh-uh Yeah! Perfect sense, 100% totally correct!
  • Does that make sense?
  • Not a bit.
  • You didn’t understand any of it, did you?
