Margaret is the youngest of all her eight siblings, all of them being girls.
In 1642 she started living with her eight sisters and their husbands in Oxford, because a Civil War broke out in England.
Margaret got married to William Cavendish, the first Duke of Newcastle, and had met him in Paris. They married in the Sir Richard Browne's Chapel. William had had another wife before her. They rented a mansion of the artist Rubens.
Margaret published 23 books in total throughout her whole life, one of them being "Of All Heroic Actions". Her most famous and well-known piece of work is a memoir she wrote about her husband in 1656. Her memoirs are considered to be the first great secular autobiographies written by a female.
Cavendish started to research on other scientists in 1660, this helped her find new ways of thinking and developed ideas of natural philosophy.
It is time you go back to being a stranger, Odysseus.
