- The mountain rabbits inhabit near most mountains, sometimes near volcanoes. They are constantly being targeted by Hawks, struggling to survive
- Only five rabbits were able to survive from the hawks' merciless hunt. It was discovered in the brown rabbits' genetics that their brown fur is actually a mutation, allowing them blend in to the mountain
- The brown rabbits were able to reproduce with the tan rabbits, passing on their genetics for brown fur. The hawks aren't able to find all the rabbits inhabiting the volcano
- In the case of a violent sandstorm covering the area in sand, the brown rabbits are easier to find by the hawks. The tan rabbits are able to camouflage into the sand, making them hard to find
