- Samuel Parris believed the town was going to turn on him. They didn't agree on him to be a reverend.

- Sarah Osborne is considered a witch in Salem because she delieved babies that were dead and they blamed her for supernatural deaths.

- John Proctor cared more about his name than his soul at the end of the movie instead of staying alive he chose death over it.

- Mary was one of the girls who would always play along about seeing ghosts and demons. Mary was scared of Abby because Abby could easily say she was a witch and turn it on her. Abby also threatened the girls that if they said one thing about this they would be killed.
- Because Tituba was black they wouldn't be surprised if she was a witch or not. Reverend Parris caught her and the girls dancing in the woods and casting spells and making potions.
- Reverend Parris cared more about his name in the village then his own well-being. He's scared that if people think there's witchcraft in his household then he will lose his position as a minister.
