- Scene opens up on Kayla getting ready to go to work in her bathroom, her husband John is also getting ready for work. John notices her examining her breast area with a worried look on her face. They talk about making a doctor's appointment for breast examination.
- Scene 4
- Scene cuts to Kayla at work. John sends a text to Kayla about her appointment. Kayla looks at her phone. Kayla sits in her cubicle and walks to her bosses office. She tells her boss that she has to take off for a doctor's appointment.
- Scene 5
- She drives home and John is back from work. Kayla gets into bed and John gets beside her and strokes her hair. I will be there throughout it all and so will the little one. He smiles at her pregnant stomach. Kayla drifts off to sleep. Scene cuts to morning.
- Scene 6
- They get into the car and drive to the doctors office. They get out of the car and go inside.
- Kayla and John get up and walk through the door. Kayla goes into the doctor’s office and waits for the doctor. John sits on the chair in the corner. They hear a knock on the door. Dr. Benson asks questions.
- Dr. Benson calls for a nurse to come in and take notes while she examines Kayla’s breasts. She does an examination and concludes that Kayla will need to get an ultrasound.

- Kayla and John walk out back into the lobby. They sign out and get lunch.

- They pick up their trash and walk back to the car. They drive to the ultrasound clinic.

- Kayla follows the nurse into the back room where the nurse hands her a hospital gown. Kayla puts the doctor gown on and sits on the operating table. The doctor walks in and greets Kayla by shaking her hand. She places the transducer on the area and looks at the screen as Kayla watches the screen. He points to a small lump on the screen. Soon the procedure is over.

- Dr. Clark leads Kayla out to John where they drive home and go to sleep.
- Kayla and John go to the back room and find Dr. Benson sitting in her doctor chair. They both begin to discuss the results. (refer to script) They make a decision on a fine needle biopsy. They prepare to begin.
- Dr. Benson begins to put Kayla under. Dr. Benson waits until Kayla is drowsy and drifts off to sleep. She asks the nurse to get the tray for the procedure. The nurse wheels in the cart. Dr. Benson grabs the needle and punctures the spot she marked with a marker and extracts the liquid and the tissue. She slowly removes the needle and puts it back on the tray. She tells John that Kayla will wake in a couple hours. and that she will call with the results. A couple hours later Kayla opens her eyes.’

- Two days later. Scene cuts to Doctors office. Dr. Benson is dialing the phone. She talks to John about a follow up appointment. Dr. Benson hangs up the phone. She looks at the results and sighs.
- Scene 16
- Scene cuts to doctor’s office on Friday. Dr. Benson tells Kayla that she has breast cancer. Kayla’s eyes become wider and she grabs John’s hand. Kayla begins to cry and hold her stomach. Dr. Benson leaves to allow Kayla and John to talk.
- Scene 17
- Kayla and John talk about how she feels and she also she feels a bit better when John tells her that they should be thankful they caugh it early. They wait for Dr. Benson to come back in.
- Scene 18
- Dr. Benson tells Kayla important information about breast cancer. Kayla makes the decision to get a mastectomy on both breasts. Dr. Benson leaves to go talk to the surgeon in the surgeon wing.
- Dr. Benson finds Dr. Mayfield and talks to him about making an appointment for Kayla. He tells her he can perform the surgery next Friday. Dr. Benson walks back to her office.
- Scene cuts to Friday at 3:30. Kayla is being prepped for surgery with Dr. Mayfield. Dr. Mayfield introduces his team and begins by putting Kayla under anesthesia. Scene becomes slowly blurry with the last sight being the doctor’s hovering over Kayla with different tools.

- An hour and a half later. Kayla wakes up. She sees tubes hanging all around. She looks down to see two scars where her breasts used to be. John tells Kayla that she is staying overnight for examination.
- Scene 22
- Scene cuts to morning. Dr. Mayfield tells Kayla the surgery was successful and her next step was chemotherapy. She would have to visit with a high risk baby doctor to discuss options. He gives them a doctor's number and they call Dr. Whitmore, and Dr. Whitmore answers and tells them they can meet them next Monday at Dr. Benson's office at 10:00 am.
- Scene 23
- Scene cuts to Monday morning in Dr. Benson's office. Dr. Whitmore discusses options for chemotherapy which included checking if the baby was fully developed and inducing labor early so that they can start chemo a few days after. Kayla decides to get an ultrasound to check the baby's development. They perform an ultrasound and the baby is fully developed. Kayla decides to induce labor in a week and then undergo chemotherapy.
- Scene 24
- A week later Kayla is preparing to go into labor. Kayla goes into the hospital and signs into the maternity area. Dr. Benson is found there. Dr. Benson greets Kayla and tells her to sit on the operating table. IV is inserted and the door is shut on the labor room with John holding Kayla’s hand. You hear the doctor telling Kayla to push and grunting noises in the background. The door opens back up with a smiling Kayla holding her daughter.
- Scene 25
- Kayla and John leave the operating room and go home with their new daughter. Their next appointment is scheduled for a couple days later to begin the chemotherapy. They enjoy the days with Amber Mae and Kayla’s mom comes into town to watch Amber as Kayla is admitted into the hospital.
- They go to the doctor and Dr. Benson explains the process of chemotherapy. Kayla gets an IV with the chemo and sits for two hours. Weeks pass and months pass. We will show brief moments of her in the hospital. About halfway along she will have lost her hair, and after showing the progression of time. The scene will cut to 6 months later.
- 6 months later Kayla has her last final check up and Dr. Benson tells her she is cancer free. Kayla is in the remission stage. Kayla cries happy tears and hugs John. Kayla’s mom walks in with Amber smiling from ear to ear. Everyone hugs and the episode ends with Kayla holding Amber and smiling at the camera.
