- Off Salinas California, two workers Geroge and Lennie, travel to a ranch looking for a job after leaving their previous job, because Lennie mistakenly grabbed a woman by her dress.
- Exposition
- Lennie and George are close buddies. Lennie, on the other hand, has developmental disabilities, and as a result of his childlike outlook, they are frequently in trouble.
- Conflit
- I'm sorry George, I'll try to not forget it anymore.
- The boss's son Curley quickly develops hate for Lennie and teases him. Curley's wife causes issues since she demands the attention of the men all the time. The ranch staff becomes close friends with the boys, especially Candy.
- Rising Action
- I don't trust them two, somethings odd about the little guy taken that big guy around.
