Life of the Roman Army
Storyboard Text
- Two boys named Romulus (on the right) and Remus (on the left) were saved and raised by a wolf because their evil uncle tried to drown them both.
- They both wanted to start a city together but were argueing about where to put it. Then one day Remus made fun of Romulus and got into a fight and Remus ended up dying to the hands of Romulus and he named the city Roma after himself.
- Romulus was the first ever king of Rome and Tarquin the Proud and he lost his leadership because the people of Rome drove him out.
- After Rome became a republic Julius Caesar was the one of the greatest generals that Rome has ever had. He complete control over the army and he wanted to rule Rome like a king to have complete control. Some of the senators didn't like the idea so he was killed.
- Romans believed in gods of all types and worshiped them through shrines and gave them offerings to stay on the god's good side. Then they became Christians and it became the official religion of Rome.
- Then Rome started getting attacked by Barbarians who were tribes from Northern Europe. And a tribe by the name Visigoths went and invaded destroying buildings and killing people. Romulus Augustus was then put out of power resulting in the end of Rome.
