The Whiskey Rebellion
The French Revolution
Hamilton had a plan for the state. But Jefferson didn't like it.Alexander wanted to create a national bank. Raise money and create a stronger government. He also made Tariffs.Jefferson didn't like his plan because he was afraid the government will have to much power. The south(where Jefferson is from)will have to pay the North debts. It will only benefit the North not he south.George Washington then told Jefferson to leave the cabinet meeting
The whiskey Rebellion started with the Citizens and Hamilton and Washington couldn't put it down. So, Hamilton came up with a plan to tax the whiskey. The citizens didn't like this idea so they started attacking the tax inspector.Hamilton advised the military force arrived. The rebellion had collapsed and two men were convicted of treason. Alexander Hamilton was happy.Federal government had proven it could keep order and a necessity if the U.s.was to avoid instability.A connection I can make that the government keeps taxing the gas for cars and people keep getting mad.
The French Revolution started with government restricted basic freedoms of people. George Washington then made a proclamation;of neutrality that barred American ships from supplying war material to either side. Hamilton and his supporters were not in sympathy with this revolution. The French wanted to start a new war,but the united states didn't want to.At the end they wouldn't gain a lot.Washington decided to stay neutral. Some connections I can make is that we had a lot of terrorist attacks but we hadn't had war yet.
