Abigail, Tituba and the other Salem girls host a ritual in the woods. They dance around the fire (naked) while Abigail drinks the blood of a chicken. Parris walks in on them dancing, Betty faints.
Abigail argues with Parris about what happened in the woods. Abigail tells him that nothing sinister occurred in the woods; She tells him that the girls danced around the fire and that Betty only fainted because she was startled.
Parris argues with Mr. & Mrs. Putnam about what happened in the woods. He tells them that Betty fainted because she was startled and that witchcraft had no part in the matter.
Abigail tells the other girls what they should say if they're questioned. She tells them that they only danced and that if they mention anything else she'll harm them.
Abigail brags to Proctor about what happened in the woods. Then she brings up past affairs in an attempt to prove something to him.
Mrs. & Mr. Putnam argue with Rebecca nurse about how there is something sinister brewing in Salem; Mrs. Putnam tell Rebecca that she has birthed several babies and none of which survived a day before withering like a rose.
