- My name is Karana.
- I am a woman of my village, I cook for the people of the village like all woman. I am also the chiefs daughter.
- We are in battle with the Atlaus, they came to island one day and are still here. They attacked us and now we have no where to go.
- Later in the year, a white mans ship showed up, someone was running though the village saying "the ship is here to save us, they will leave you if you don't hurry".
- In this hut is my little brother.
- Everyone got on the ship but my brother was still in the hut packing. As the ship was leaving I dove into the water to go back for him and the ship left us on the island.
- While we were alone on the Island a pack of wolfs came and attacked my brother...he died.
- This is my home, I built it out of the rib cage of a whale that washed up on shore.
- In my village women were forbidden to make weapons. Now that I was alone I had to teach myself how to make weapons. In my village women were forbidden to make weapons. - When I was on the the island I captured a wolf from the pack and named it Rontu. He was my pet.
- A few years later Routu died, so I got a new wolf. I named him Rontu-Aru which means Rontu's son.
- Many years later people came to the island and told me that all of my people died in a boat crash.
