Jacob and his family left from Canaan to Egypt because Egypt had lots of grains and Canaan was suffering a famine. The pharaoh mistrusted Moses which different Egyptians belief.
Moses was an Israelite ,but grew up in the palace. God had instructed Moses to free the Israellites from slavery so he decided to ask to have to fulfill this pupise covent.
The pharaoh denied Moses's request so there was consequences which were sickness, death of first born son, and swarm of insects.
Jacob's descendant from slavery in Egypt is called the Exodus and wanted justice for all of Egypt.
Moses went to the top of a mountain to see god and later returned with laws known today as the ten commandments.
Canaan conquered several small kingdoms and one of the first cities was the high walled city of Jericho.
