Lily and Melanie Voiceover: How did it start? Well, in 2007 our Mom read an article on how few women were leading Fortune 500 companies. It really upset her so she read the article to us. She challenged us to start a business of our own.
Voiceover: Then one day when Lily was looking for her lip balm she had a slip of the tongue. She said "Mom, where's my lip BLAM?" Mom said "BLAM? That would make a great name for a lip balm company." Then Mom noticed there were 24 lip balms in Lily's drawer. She said we could make them better. BLAMtastic® was born.
Lily: So we ordered some botanical ingredients from the internet and started cooking our own natural lip balm formula up in our kitchen. Melanie: Yeah, we ruined all of our kitchen pans. Lily: We called it BLAM! We sold it at the elementary school fair and everyone went crazy for it.

Mom Voiceover: Very early on we created a list of corporate responsibility for BLAMtastic®. These were issues that were important to us like manufacturing in the USA. Then we traveled the country working hard to grow our business. Customers and retailers loved our products so we continued to grow.
----MAIN STREET USA----
Mom Voiceover: Then the biggest American retailer called. They understand American made because they ARE American made. They loved BLAMtastic® and everything we stand for. They wanted to feature BLAMtastic® in their stores.
Mom: We are the Sandler Family. We built BLAMtastic® brick by brick right here in the USA. Girls: And WE are Walmart!
