Storyboard Text

  • On December 7, 1941 the United States navy was in Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. It was just another Sunday morning, but things were going to change.
  • Tim and Caden were resting in their bunks when they heard a torpedo exploding. A fire broke out in their room. They tried to run out. Another explosion threw them in the water.
  • The Japanese had attacked the United States because the U.S. banned trade with Japan. Tim and Zack had been injured in the explosion. Caden was trying to care for the wounded soldiers.
  • 2000 people died and 1000 were wounded. 19 ships and 300 airplanes were damaged in the attack. Zack had died and this was his funeral back in the states.
  • President Franklin D. Roosevelt asked Congress to declare war.
  • This is when the United States entered WWII.
