  • The government is divided into 3 branches and they each have their own job.

  • Executive: enforces law
  • All the branches are equal in power. Each branch makes sure the other ones are not abusing their own power.
  • Checks and Balances
  • Limited Government
  • Our constitution states that we choose our representatives!
  • Federalism
  • Federalism is having a strong national government that keeps the country unified. 
  • Republicanism
  • The government´s supreme power rests in the votes of us, the citizens!
  • Individual Rights
  • We can live our lives the way we want because we have certain rights that the government can´t interfere with.
