  • Enter Capulet and Paris
  • Ere we may think her ripe to be a bride.
  • Younger than she are happy mothers made.
  • Enter Peter
  • Go, sirrah, trudge about through fair Verona. Find those persons out whose names are written there.
  • Enter Peter in the streets of Verona
  • But I am sent to find those persons whose names are writ here, and can never find what names the writing person hath here writ. I must to the learned in good time!
  • Capulet is talking to Paris about marrying Juliet.
  • Enter Romeo and Benvolio
  • God i good e'en. I pray, sir, can you read?
  • Ay, if i know the letters and the language
  • Capulet tells Peter to go find the people on the list and invite them to his party that Paris will hopefully meet Juliet at.
  • .....Lucio and the lively Helena. A fair assembly. whither should they come?
  • Peter can't read the list of names.
  • Exit Peter
  • At this same ancient feast of Capulet's sups the fair Rosaline whom thou so loves with all admired beauties of Verona. Go thither, and with unattainted eye compare her face with some that I shall show, and I will make thee think thy swan a crow.
  • Peter asks Romeo to read him the list of names.
  • Romeo reads the names then asks where the party is taking place.
  • My Master's. The great rich Capulet
  • Benvolio wants Romeo to crash the party so he can see all the other better girls. Romeo agrees to go.
  • I'll go along, no such sight to be shown, but to rejoice in splendor of mine own.
