Feudalism feudalism was the medieval Europe's political and economical system. It was the way that they distinguished if you were poor or if you were rich.
feudalism was from the 9th to 15th centuries in Europe. in the feudal system the kings were the most powerful people then came the nobles and then right after them came the knights, the nobles had there own knights that serve them. a knight is a specially trained soldier. When the knight wins a tournament or does something good the noble will or might give him or them a fief. then at the last came the serfs. 90 % of the population was serfs.
serfs were not slave they worked for the nobles but they could not leave. one way that they can leave is that if they run away for one year. A serf does not have to work for the noble the whole entire time they work for the noble they only have to grow crops for the nobles for 2 days the rest of the time they do it for themselves.
One of thing that help them was the crop rotation that they used. it help them not wast food. one other thing was the plow that used hoses because horses cover more ground faster than oxen so they were able to make more food.
All in all i think that feudalism helped the Europeans but i also think that is was a very mean way of living. I also think that every one is equal and that everyone should have freedom.
