  • 1st Amendment
  • We are not allowed to make laws that interfere with people's rights!
  • 2nd Amendment
  • All people have the right to bear arms.
  • We're the militia!
  • 3rd Amendment
  • No.
  • Can we stay in your house?
  • Congress cannot make laws that interfere with freedom of speech, press, religion, peaceful assembly, and to petition to the government.
  • 4th Amendment
  • Can we search your house?
  • States are able to have a militia and citizens are able to keep and bear arms.
  • 5th Amendment
  • Do you want to testify as witness?
  • Soldiers cannot stay in houses without the owner's permission.
  • 6th Amendment
  • A person's possessions cannot be unreasonably searched.
  • Then under the 4th Amendment, NO.
  • Um...
  • Why?!
  • Nobody can be tried twice for the same crime twice or be forced to be witness against themselves.
  • No. I actually have been tried for this crime before and was found not guilty. Under the 5th Amendment I cannot be tried for the same crime again.
  • The 6th Amendment guarantees a speedy and fair trial with an impartial jury. The defendant has the right to know what they are being charged for, who is their prosecutor, and know who are the witnesses against him/her. A defendant can summon anyone as a witness in their favor. If a defendant cannot afford a lawyer, one will be provided.
