As It was needed another one they chose old humble Nanahuatzin who quickly saId he would
.
For four days, while Tecuciztecatl made marvelous offerings with Quetzal feathers and precious stones
Nanahuatzin made modest ones with cane and hay
.
After the offering period, the gods met together again around the great bonfire and encouraged Tecuciztecatl to jump into the fire.
When Tecuciztecatl saw the size of the fire and felt the heat that came out of it he was so afraid that he refused jumping into the bonfire
although he tried four times he could not.
