Storyboard Text

  • See how they move their hips and shake their bodies for the glory of God! Wow! Wonderful talent from the Lord.
  • I am using my talent to dance for the Lord.
  • Jesus appears in a dream
  • Why is your congregation dancing like the daughter of Herodias for others to watch? Why do you have doctrine of Balaam which I hate (Rev 2:14)?
  • Lord, I don't understand
  • Why are you allowing your congregation to dance with filthy moves? Is it for others to watch how their bodies moves, sowing unclean thoughts as a stumbling block to My flock?
  • Lord, but David danced right?
  • He danced half-naked (2Sam 6:20). Didn't I instruct the Levites how to even make their underwear so that I don't have to see their nakedness even from beneath? (Exo 28:42). I called you to follow Me and do what pleases Me, not David. The ancient Israelites danced out of joy and not for others to watch like your congregation's filthy moves as the world does.
  • But, certainly dancing is a talent right? It is also a form of praise right? (Ps 149:3; Ps 150:4) Can't we use it to glorify You?
  • There were artisans who painted and sculptured in My tabernacle (Exod 28:3). There were trumpeters and singers in My Temple who praised Me (2Chr 5:13). I did not ask for dancers nor I acknowledge it anywhere as a talent.
  • Bible does not acknowledge dancing as a talent anywhere. Nor did God expected anyone to dance for His glory. We need to ask ourselves the following questions: 1. What message does the dance convey to the audience? 2. How does it glorify God? 3. How does it edify the church? If it doesn't do any of these three, it is not from the Lord. You must also ask yourself if Jesus or any apostles will dance like any of these? If we are to be Christ-like, the dance identifies us with the world, not Christ. As a Pastor it is my responsibility to make sure I don't bring the world inside the church for I will have stricter judgment! (Jas 3:1)
