I am Sam Adams, a strong Anti-Federalist who strongly believed the Constitution should have a Bill of Rights. I convinced the Federalists to attach a bill of rights once the Constitution was ratified. And so began the long debate over the ratification.
Me again. Finally the Constitution was ratified! Virginia and New York voted and it was a success. Now I will turn it over to James Madison, the author of the Bill of Rights.
My name is James Madison and I will take you through the Bill of Rights (some are lengthy so I will summarize.) 1. Guarantees freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition.
