- The Romeo and Juliet story takes place in the beautiful city of Verona. The Capulet and the Montague families have a long history of hating one another. Juliet of the Capulet family and Romeo of the Montague family fall in love. They secretly get married. Believing their love was doomed, they committed suicide. Their death brought an end to the families feud.

- Servants, Sampson and Gregory from the Capulet House and Abraham from the Montague House start a riot in the street. Benvolio, Romeo's cousin, tries to diffuse the fight. Tybolt, Juliet's cousin, starts a fight with Benvolio.

- The Prince of Verona, Prince Escalus (relative of Mercutio and Paris); declares, "If you ever cause a disturbance on our streets again, you'll pay for it with your lives."

- Lady Capulet and Capulet thow a feast to introduce Juliet to Paris. Romeo crashes the Capulet feast . He sees Juliet and falls in love at first sight, Juliet finds out Romeo is a Montague. Romeo finds out Juliet is a Capulet. Tybalt is mad Romeo, a Montague, crashed the feast.

- Romeo and Juliet meet on her balcony. They decide to get secretly married by Friar Lawrence. Paris discusses with Lord Capulet about marrying Juliet. Tybalt challenges Romeo to a sword fight. Tybalt: "Boy, your words can't excuse the harm you've done to me. So now turn and draw your sword."

- Prince:"Romeo killed Tybalt. Tybalt killed Mercutio. Who should now pay the price for Mercutio's life?" Romeo flees scene before Prince Escalus orders him banished from Verona.

- Paris will soon be married to Juliet the Capulets do not know about Juliet's secret marriage. Juliet decides to fake her death with a potion that Friar Lawrence gave her. Juliet:"Give me the vial. Give it to me! Don't talk to me about fear."

- Romeo is told that Juliet is dead, but she is really just asleep from the potion. Romeo goes to Juliet at the Capulet's tomb ready to drink the poison he bought from the Apothecary. Romeo drinks the poison and dies. Juliet wakes up, finds Romeo dead. She kills herself with a dagger. The Montagues and Capulets reconcile. Statues are built of in honor of Romeo and Juliet.
