- When I was in Middle School, it was time to branch out and meet new people.
- I was lucky enough to met my best friends, who happened to be in some of my classes.
- Im Alyssa and this is my twin Christina!
- We started to hang out and went away on long weekends with each other, which made us become inseparable.
- One night, in High School I decided to call Alyssa because she was not acting herself and I was getting worried about her.
- Hey Alyssa, is everything okay?
- On a Friday after school, Alyssa and Christina invited me over. Alyssa told me something I was not expecting.
- I have cancer.
- That night when I went home, it hit me and I sat in my room crying for hours.
- A few weeks later, she asked me to comb her hair and while combing I saw clumps begin to fall out. I had no choice but to be brave for Alyssa because that is what friends do.
- At school no one knew except for me and listening to kids talk about Alyssa behind her back made me sick. I had to be able to internalize everything because Alyssa told me that she did not want anyone else to know what was happening.
- What is wrong with Alyssa? She looks sick.
- Did Alyssa get a haircut? It looks like a wig.
- At last the pain and suffering was coming to an end.
- Alyssa, the doctor called and he said since your treatments are working you will be able to stop them soon!
- When I turned sixteen, I threw a huge party with the help of the twins. We got to celebrate my birthday and also Alyssa, because she was done with her treatments.
