- These letters were written to give guidance to the new churches in the Greek-speaking world.
- There were four gospels and a church history written as the eyewitnesses of Jesus' ministry began to die off. These Gospels include Mark, Matthew, Luke, and John. The Book of Revelation was written in 95 CE. by John to give encouragement and hope to all Christians.
- Letters from Peter were to believers who had been dispersed throughout the ancient world and were under intense persecution. Letters from James gave instructions to Jews who were dispersed and well beyond the Jerusalem church. Letters from Jude exposed the false teachers that had infiltrated the Christian community and encouraged Christians to stand firm in the faith and fight for truth.
