Cuban rev/ Cuban Missile Crisis
Inspired by Chinese and Soviet communism, Ho Chi Minh formed the Viet Minh, or the League for the Independence of Vietnam, to fight both Japan and the French colonial administration. The Vietnam War was a long, costly armed conflict that pitted the communist regime of North Vietnam and its southern allies, known as the Viet Cong, against South Vietnam and its principal ally, the United States.
After seizing power in the Caribbean island nation of Cuba in 1959, leftist revolutionary leader Fidel Castro sided with russia. Through this Castro got russia missiles from Khrushchev which is the leader of russia. This was a huge issue for the JFK and the united states because it gave russia the ability to fire on us at any point it time.
