- Look at the disasters that are going on, in this world! After all the things that we could of done for so many years to slow down this global disaster.
- What is wrong mom? What are you watching?
- I can not stand to watch the TV and see how bad is the situation of our planet earth.
- What situation mom?
- Let me define the situation, since there are so many. I am referring to pollution.
- Pollution? What like fog and dirty water, that kind?
- Yes that and much more. Since I was young I was taught that contamination would affect the planet in a way that our lives would be at risk.
- At risk! That sound dangerous!
- The ozone layer has extended in size and there has been discover a new spot in another country...
- Mom: We could have done so much more, even though recycling has supposedly reduced contamination because less trash. Now its worst! Me: What more could have been done?
- Me: This all sounds so horrible! What can we still do? Mom: There is still some kind of hope for the planet, but we must all keep ourselves focused on saving he planet. Lets start at home. Come let see how we can help!
- There are so many factors that have produced so many harm to the planet that humans know how harmful they are but just ignore and continue the abuse. Like: *deforestation *garbage *oil spills *constructions *air pollution ( too many vehicles) *water wastage and contamination *energy waste *excessive fishing and farming etc...
- First of all people do not really need amost of stuff that has been invented to live. A large amount of things made just build up trash and contaminate. We find things neat when we purchase or get them but afterward they seem useless and end up in wastelands and don not decompose until thousands of years.
- Me: Decompose? What is that? Mom: Decompose means that it will not reduce its size or not exist anymore, it may but it takes a very long time to do so. Me: So its like if I throw one of my toys anywhere it may take more than 100 yrs to decompose? Mom: Exactly!
- Here in the kitchen we can start by: *Recycling: sort the trash by paper, glass,aluminium,plastic, oil and natural biodegradables. *Use water and gas or heat prudently. Use biodegradables liquid detergente.
- Recycling is fun!
- We must not let the water run while were practicing our hygiene. In the toilet basket we can put a plastic gallon in the tank to use less water.
- So now you have some facts on pollution and some pointers on how to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
- I promise to take care of my environment . And try to help with my future studies.
