Women's fashion took a huge turn during the 1920's-30's. On August 26, 1920, a law was passed that gave all women the right to vote. This was the beginning of an era that gave women freedom to express themselves differently, leading them into being the face of 1920's fashion.
Since the war is over and women finally have the right to vote, I'm going to design a new collection that will allow women to express themselves freely.
This lady here is Coco Chanel. She was a fashion designer that set trends for this era. After the war was over, people wanted to start over and make something of themselves. Chanel helped them reach their goals by allowing them to express themselves through her fashion.
I better start getting to work on creating these ritzy outfits.
I'm finally done my collection and I'm ready to show my creations to the world.
I know. I want it!
Wow, that get-up is so keen.
Soon everyone started wearing these outfits. Women who would wear these short dresses with bobbed hair were known as "flappers".
