- Who can tell me what we did in class today?
- Explored I-Beams and their construction. We learned about the importance of the construction
- Tested tension by comparing how much a material of two different diameters stretched when we hung weights from them. Then we recorded the results in a data chart.
- Examined and explored brass and steal rods of different lengths.
- Thinking Engineering
- This relates to class because we have been talking about Engineering and the Design process. In the article, the students had to think about being engineers using math and science, kind-of like how we had to in class and the design process.
- This is important because the design process and engineering design applies to multiple subjects. It is also an important thinking process for students to understand.
