- I wish there was something to do!
- No! No! Make him go away!
- I'm the Cat in the Hat.
- Put me down!
- On a rainy cold day, Sally and his brother did not know what to do. It was too cold and wet outside, as they just sat inside the house, bored, with nothing to do.
- This is Thing One & Thing Two
- No! No! No!
- As Sally and his brother sat inside the house with nothing to do, the Cat in the Hat walked in offering games of all kinds to play. Much to the fish's dismay, due to the reason that the children's mother was not there.
- I always pick up my mess.
- Mom is coming!
- The Cat in the Hat demonstrated his tricks by standing on a ball and balancing all sorts of things, including a panicking fish.
- I'm back! Did you have fun?
- Will she even believe us?
- Afterwards, the Cat in the Hat brought out Thing One and Thing Two, whom loved to play games. Thing One and Thing Two trashed the house as they played, much to the children and the fish's dismay.
- The children and the fish finally had enough, as they ran the Cat out along with his Things. As mom arrived at the house the mess was still there, before the Cat came back to clean up his mess.
- All the mess was cleaned up before the mother opened the door. It was as if nothing had ever happened. As the mother walked in, she asked the children if they had fun, while the kids pondered about even telling her what truly happened.
