  • Thank you for helping me make tamales Maria.
  • If only I could wear mom's ring.
  • I'm going to get ready for the gathering.
  • Thanks for the help dad!
  • The pot is in the stove!
  • Maria was helping her mother make tamales, as they were preparing for a family gathering.
  • The ring!!!
  • What ring?
  • Maria felt grown helping her mother, as she was allowed to wear her mother's apron, lip stick, and perfume. Maria however wanted to wear her mother's ring.
  • That's a lot of tamales.
  • I need your help! We have to eat the tamales and see if the ring is inside one of them.
  • When Maria's mother left the kitchen, Maria put on her ring that was placed in the kitchen counter. Afterwards, Maria's father laid a hand by putting the pot of tamales on the stove.
  • You were playing with the ring? Come on, lets go make another batch of tamales.
  • Mom, I lost your ring, and we ate all the tamales looking for it.
  • Maria's extended family arrived, as Maria and her cousins went to go play. During play time, Maria realized that the ring was gone.
  • Maria asked her cousins for help in order to retrieve the ring. Maria taught the ring was in one of the tamales, so they ate every single one of the tamales. The ring was not in the tamales however.
  • Maria confessed to her mother, but her mother was already wearing her ring, as the mother knew Maria had played with her ring. Because all the tamales were gone, the family made a new batch together.
