Creon shall be banished for trying to over throw me.
King Oedipus I come to share some news of your father, he has passed away but not to worry everything shall be fine considering they weren't your birth parents...you were originally found in the mountains and brought as a gift into the royal line. Found as an infant and your birth parents being Laius and Jocasta your wife.
This must mean I killed my father.
Jocasta and Creon were begging Oedipus not to banish him. Jocasta then began telling Oedipus a story of what was said to happen to her husband but it wasn't true.
An old messenger from Cornith came to Thebes to deliver the news of his "father" when then he was told they weren't his birth parents. Oedipus interested and persistent in who his birth parents were threatened to kill the messenger unless he provides the info he asked for.
After being enlightened by the messenger Oedipus began to connect some of his past memories in battle and came to the conclusion that he Oedipus killed Laius. Keeping his promise to punish the murderer he with the help of Creon banished himself from Thebes.
