Storyboard Text

  • Why are these young people lined up
  • Prince Theseus, son of King Egeus of Athens was surprised to see young men and women lined up. He asked what this meant and his father told him they were going to be devoured by the Minotaur since they had lost a war in the past with Crete. The Minotaur was a creature that was half man, half bull.
  • That is because they are going to be devoured by the Minotaur
  • Theseus offered to be one of the seven boys going to be devoured by the Minotaur so he can slay the beast. He promises his father he would put up white sails if he slays the Minotaur. He gets in a ship to travel to Crete.
  • I WILL SLAY THE MINOTAUR!
  • Theseus gets to Crete and meets the king Minos. Minos is surprised with how much bravery Theseus has in fighting the Minotaur. After that Theseus and the rest of the prisoners were sent to a dungeon.
  • The daughter of Minos, Ariadne brought Theseus to the labyrinth where the Minotaur lives. She gave him a sword and string. The string was needed so that when he defeats the Minotaur, he can get right back to Ariadne. In conclusion, he went into the labyrinth to find and kill the Minotaur.
  • Theseus finally found the Minotaur after the long search in the labyrinth. The Minotaur lowered its horns and ran towards Theseus. He dropped him down to the floor, but Theseus jumped up in time to cut the monsters head off.
  • ROARRRRRRRR
  • He followed the string back to Ariadne who congratulated him of his success. He wanted her to come back with him to Athens, but she needed to stay with her father. Therefore, he brought the other captives to get back to the ship.
  • YOU SLAYED THE MINOTAUR!
  • Thanks to you, i return victorious
