- With its fishing lights on? Is that what Deputy Martinson Reported?
- That's right.
- Susan Marie
- This is very strange.
- Doesn't look like it.
- This is not looking good...
- Susan Marie
- He ain't here.
- Sheriff Art Moran was called by the prosecutor to discuss the morning of September 16th, the day Carl Heine was murdered.
- Take a look
- This is bad
- Sheriff Art Moran had gotten a call Carl's boat, 'The Susan Marie' was adrift in White Sand Bay, he and his deputy, Abel Martinson went to investigate the scene.(This is Art Moran's description of September 16th to the prosecutor).
- OH MY GOD!
- Get over there with the lead line, I'll bring her up real slow. You may need to pick some, so be ready.
- No way...
- Art and Abel reach the boat, discovering Carl was not aboard with no sign of him on the boat, Art began to be very worried for he had known Carl and his wife from church.
- Must have banged it against the gunnel going over.
- I think I'm going to be sick.
- He banged his head.
- They continued their search, seeking for any sign of Carl . Art and Abel found multiple odd things such as a coffee up overturned and a marine battery sitting out, instantly knowing something had taken place.
- Art and Abel finally decided to reel the net in, knowing Carl could have fallen overboard. Unfortunately, Carl's deceased body appeared, tangled within the net and amongst dozens of fish.
- Art and Abel stood beside Carl Heine's dead body, Abel was disgusted running from the body while Art was in disbelief. They composed themselves, when Abel noticed Carl had a wound on his head.
