Walter Mitty is an introvert that sometimes lives in his imagination instead of reality.
Walter's wife Mrs.Mitty, is not a fan of this, she is very loud and is constantly telling him what to do.
This causes a conflict between them.
However, Walter still ran all of the errands Mrs.Mitty told him to. Though he did slip into his imagination a few times.
Walter Mitty finally stands up for himself saying, "Does it ever occur to you that I am sometimes thinking!" (Thurbur,6) Unfortunately Mrs.Mitty doesn't get the hint, and just thinks he is sick.
