  • PRECIPITATION
  • EVAPORATION
  • CONDENSATION
  • Water that falls from the clouds is called precipitation. There are four types of precipitation: rain, hail, frozen rain/sleet, and snow.
  • If a liquid is heated, it changes to a gas. This change is called evaporation.
  • If a gas is cooled, it changes to a liquid. This change is called condensation.

  • The process when water evaporates from the surface of leaves is called transpiration.
  • Groundwater flow is when water flows through the rocks and soil underground.
