- Murder is ethically wrong. Humans are the cycle of life, people can reason and understand what the other animals could not do.
- It's not like humans are yet another race that lives and then dies.
- Pathos
- This is coldblooded murder! This must be a joke.
- I discovered better species to hunt rather than just animals and that is humans
- Ethos: Rainsford is saying his experience on what he has been through with hunting and how hunting humans in plain murder
- Logos: Rainsford is being logical about how murder is evil and how humans are way different than animals because humans can do many different things than animals.
- Pathos: Rainsford was in shock at what the general Zaroff had said about how he said that humans his species were the best kind of species to hunt.
