  • FLOWERS FOR ALGERNON BY DANIEL KEYES
  • INTRODUCTION
  • "Dr. Struass ses i shud write mor."
  • The introduction is where theCharlie introduces himself. Charlie is 37 and has a low intelligence. A clear example is his grammar and spelling.
  • The rising action, is when Charlie has the operation. This operation is supposed to make Charlie smarter. This surgery has never been done before on a human.
  • RISING ACTION
  • CLIMAX
  • The climax is when Charlie gains his intelligence. In this scene, charlie is fired by his co-workers with a signed petition.
  • YOU'RE FIRED, CHARLIE!
  • Why did this happen?
  • The falling action, is when Algernon, a mouse who had the same operation Charlie had, dies, and Charlie tries to find out what happened to him. Charlie conducted many experiments to find out if it would happen to him, too.
  • FALLING ACTION
  • HERE LIES ALGERNON
  • The conflict ends when Charlie's brain starts to deteriorate like Algernon's did. Charlie begins to not be able to read and remember all the intelligent things that he could before.
