- As a young child Mine's mother had Mine draw a different cat every day. She became a really good artist because of this.
- Please pack your belongings and report to an assembly center for relocation. Evacuees must carry with them on departure the following: bedding and linens, toilet articles, extra clothing, sufficient knives, forks, spoons, plates, bowls, cups, and essential personal effects. All items must be securely packaged, tied, and marked plainly. The size and number of packages is limited to that which carried by the individual or family group.

- Mine's trip was interrupted when she got a call from home saying her mother is sick. Her mother died a short time after he got home.
- 2 years later Mine and her brother were notified that since they were Japanese Americans they had to be relocated for the war.
- Mine and her brother Toku went to the relocation center. Mine's family number was 13660. Toku and Mine were referred to by this number not there name. Then they were sent to Tanforran.
- Mine and Toku arrived at the internee camp. It was a stable.
