Storyboard Text

  • The Amazing Adventures of Neolithic Nicholas and Nicole
  • Early humans had to hunt and gather to survive.
  • But in Neolithic times a group of people discovered that we can grow crops and domesticate animals
  • Growing crops allowed us to have a much more stable food supply so we don't starve!
  • What?
  • HEY!
  • In Paleolithic times Hunter-Gatherer groups are nomadic meaning that they moved around following the animals
  • HELP!
  • Hunting sometimes can't provide enough food and was very dangerous
  • But in Neolithic times they built permanent shelters that protected them from the weather and animals
  • Good thing that fox can't get in! But it's just the rain.
  • It's great living in a house than in a tent or a cold cave!
  • Turkey or bunny?
  • A stable food supply really helped and it lead to permanent shelters
  • In Paleolithic times moving very often didn't allow them to build permanent shelters and if they did where were they going to get their food?
  • We can't settle down we've got to follow the food to survive!
  • They stayed in caves or tent like structures and they were unsafe from animals and natural elements
  • Well this isn't too great!
  • Really?
  • Permanent shelters allowed them to protect themselves from the weather, animals, and enemies.
  • A hen would be nice
  • If they wanted to settle down they would have to find a food source but animals migrated and so they had to follow the animals for food and they didn't know yet that they can grow and domesticate animals. Living in communities allowed them to easily organize themselves.
  • But there is lots of useful resources in the area!
  • THEY ARE FOLLOWING US!!!!!
