It is currently August 24, 2016. I am going to tell you the story of what happened to Emmett Till, a young African American who was murdered. On August 24, 1955, while Emmett Till was leaving a store, the cashier had reported that he had tried to flirt with her, which at the time, was not appropriate behavior for an African American.
Emmett was asleep in bed at his great uncle's house when suddenly...
Two men who were related to the cashier went to go find Emmett. And when they found him, they forced him to go into their car.
Get in the car... NOW!!!!
Well, what happened next was very... depressing. They brought Emmett into their shack, and beat him until his face wasn't recognizable anymore, and his eye bulged out. And, he died.
After they killed Emmett in the shack...
The murderers put Emmett's body in the Tallahatchie river. He was found three days later, and his mother instantly knew it was him because he was still wearing his father's ring.
